I’m more like a bonus bridesmaid than a diva director. That means we’ll have a relaxed and fun day. You’ll have all the moments of privacy you deserve and all the mayhem of hanging out with your bridal party that you want. Hunter Valley Engagement shoot

A romantic garden picnic, beach sunset or bring the kids and make it a family shoot. Pre-wedding shoots are a great chance for you to both become more relaxed in front of me and my cameras. I guarantee to make it fun and it will certainly help you for the big day. The added bonus is you will see for yourself what angles and styles flatter you both the most.

Album or just digital files

Our packages let you choose whether to pre-order an album. You might want to design and print your own, or order one for your 1st anniversary (which is traditionally themed around paper). We just know albums are a wonderful way to share your images, look at them more often and of course avoid any changes in technology or back ups getting lost. All our albums are 100% Australian made and you have full say over your custom design. Either way, all our couples receive high res photos on a beautiful USB so you have the choice of how to share your wedding photos.

Trash the Dress

Beach, coloured smoke, paint or underwater photos? We love getting imaginative with you to create striking photos for a custom post wedding shoot. It could be the water loving nature in us but some of our most exciting photos have been taken underwater. Ps. You don’t have to wear your actual wedding dress – stunning photos and lots of fun guaranteed in any outfit.

Frequently Asked Questions

All our wedding photography packages include Helen, our lead photographer. If you’d like a second shooter, you can add one as all our photographers are very experienced with weddings (and photo magnets).

If you book a Photo Magnet package, our team includes a professional photographer and Assistant to look after your guests and keep the magnets flowing.

We have a couple of legendary video teams we love to work with, so we are happy to put you in touch.

Our wedding photography packages start at $2920 and photo magnet packages start at $1170 including unlimited magnets. Yes, it is cheaper to combine both services, after all we think the perfect combination is fun photography for you and on the spot magnets for your guests!

Absolutely!! We are very happy to work alongside your wedding photographer to create magnets for your guests. We find we tend to focus on your guests more when they are focusing on you. It also works really well to have us during canapes and lawn games, so if you are off with your wedding photographer, we are still there to entertain your guests and capture the action.

Yes, we want you to have a truly custom design so we have included the services of our graphic designer in all our packages. We tend to use your invitation or wedding styling as a starting point. Alternatively, if you are handy with graphic design you are welcome to design your own, we will give you the specs.

Yes, all our magnet packages include our unique wooden prop signs – the most popular is “find me on Tinder” or “these shoes are killing me”. We can also print you a custom sign using your wedding hashtag or couple name!

We actually recommend you allow our photographer to roam and capture the action where it unfolds, including during lawn games, at the tables, or on the dancefloor. Your venue will make a beautiful backdrop! If you would specifically like a photo wall/backdrop set up we have a gold sequin option, or are happy to recommend flower wall and other suppliers near you.

We display a fresh batch of photo magnets every 15 minutes or so – just in time for guests to have a boogy and then return to the display board.

Yes! We love adventure and our kit travels easily. We consider Port Stephens, the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Wollongong “our area”. Outside of that there is a small travel fee.

Sure do! Don’t worry, you are not the first to ask! We do this all the time and you probably don’t. We are happy to help with the little elements that catch you out on the day … until you are in your mate’s bridal party when you need to be the expert!

The deposit is $300 and we will send you an invoice.

If you are looking at Magnetic Shots for your wedding photography, the first step is to have a chat with Helen, so we know we are all going to have a good time together. After that wonderful meeting – we have an online booking form for you to do and the deposit for wedding phtography is $600.

Photo magnet bookings receive a digital copy of your images on the night. Wedding photography takes a little longer to edit and retouch and we allow 6-8 week turn around time.

Sure have! One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is learning about other people’s cultures and being invited into special moments like a tea ceremony with your family. We aim to capture the details, emotions and atmosphere without being intrusive.

Sure have! In fact it was as a guest at our friend’s Jewish wedding in Israel, that we first came across photo magnets. Fast forward 7 years and we are quite familiar with different aspects of a Jewish wedding from the chuppah to the hora. We are happy to show you some specific galleries and discuss what aspects are most important to you.
