How does it work?

We use a high tech printing process and all the magnets are printed at your venue. Your guests will be able to pick up their special photo memento from our display board during your event.

Can I have a custom design?

Yes. We can create any custom design to suit your event theme, whatever your event. For instance, if it’s for your wedding, we can mirror your wedding stationery design. What happens before the event?

We know you’re busy with your special event so there are just three easy steps that you can set then forget:

  1. Prior to your event, get in touch, and talk to us about designing your customised magnet and decide which package best suit your needs.
  2. Confirm your booking by returning your contract and deposit.
  3. Approve your design along with any other special requirements.

What happens on the day of my event?

Our photographer and technician will arrive at your event well before the appointed time. We’ll set up, mingle with your guests, and capture magic moments as they happen. We’ll print these images onto the magnets and display them on a board at your event so your guests can collect theirs to take home.

When do my guests get their magnets?

Out photographer will shoot continually from the time they are booked. Your first set of magnets is typically on the display board within 15 minutes of the start of the booking. We offer 2 different styles of display board, free standing or table top

I already have a wedding photographer, how will both of you work?

As experienced wedding photographers, we appreciate your photographer will always be looking to capture your best side. For On the Day Bonbonneires we slip in for only a few minutes after your ceremony before we disappear and you enjoy the time with your guests.

For Reception Mementos, we don’t get under your photographer’s toes because while they are concentrating on you, we are capturing your guests reactions.

We just ask that you let your event photographer know we will be there too.

Do I get the original photos?

Yes, after your event, we can give you a USB stick of all the photos.

Can you upload the images to social media?

We can also upload all of your selected event photography images to your social media channels during your event.

What space or equipment do I need?

We only need a small area at your venue to set up. This is ideally back of house, and we are happy anywhere you see fit! We’ll bring the printing equipment, and a table with us. All we need is a standard 240V powerpoint. You can then choose where you want us to set up the display board within your function’s space.

If you have an outdoor event, we are happy to set up our own marquee to produce your magnets and can supply our own power source for a nominal charge.

How many magnets will I get?

Once we know the size of your event and the number of guests, we will suggest a package so each guest will receive 2-3 different magnets each. We print duplicates of all magnets that include groups, so the various people in the shot can take home that magnet. Because our photographer and technician will be on site, we are always available to do re-prints for your guests during your event. We will ensure no one misses out!

What happens when a guest forgets to pick up their magnet?

Any uncollected magnets will be given to you at the end of the event, along with your USB of images.

Can I order reprints?

Similarly, if you or your guests would like reprints after the event, just select photos from your gallery on our website and we can post them out to you!

Will the magnet peel or fade?

We use only the highest quality materials to create our glossy photo magnets which are available in a variety of sizes to suit your needs. They are durable and thicker than most other fridge magnets so you don’t have to worry about the photos fading or peeling over time

How much does it cost?

That depends on the size of your event, how long you would like our team there and the number of guests that you are expecting. Our prices start from as little as $690 for day time packages and $890 evening events. Request quote today.

What types of payment do you accept?

Our preferred method is bank transfer, but we also accept credit card payments via our website.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes of course, but we do require notice, and cancellations do attract standard penalties:

0-7 days prior = loss of 50% of booking cost

7+ days prior = loss of $300 deposit 

Please note we do not refund deposits!

Where are you based and what locations do you cover?

We have teams based in Sydney, Wollongong and Kiama, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Newcastle and Canberra. Should your event be further afield, we are happy to service bookings Australia wide, and will quote for travel accordingly. We have created on the spot magnets in Adelaide, Melbourne, Darwin, Cairns and Brisbane before!

Do you provide event photography?

Yes, we are professional event and wedding photographers with many years’ experience. Magnetic Shots offers affordable and creative event photography [link] so you can use us as your one stop shop. You can book us to capture the important aspects of your event including presentations and awards, room styling and decor, atmosphere shots, media walls and group shots, as well as for your personalised photo magnet gifts.

In addition, we are experienced in organising event details, atmosphere shots and your group portraits to create stunning photobooks for you to treasure after the event.

Do you offer any other magnetic photo products?

Yes. We can produce magnetic Save the Date and Thank you cards using your favourite image. We can also produce made to order magnets from existing photos that are perfect for gifts any time of the year. Request a quote today.
